From Daily Headaches To Pain Free Working
The Problem
A client working in a desk-based role came to see me with ongoing neck pain, shoulder tension and frequent headaches.
The symptoms had gradually built up over time and were affecting both work and home life.
By the end of most days, she felt stiff, uncomfortable and exhausted.
What We Found
Assessment revealed a combination of prolonged sitting, reduced upper back strength and poor movement habits throughout the day.
Stress and tension were also contributing to increased muscle tightness around the neck and shoulders.
Treatment
Treatment focused on:
✔ Physiotherapy assessment and treatment
✔ Improving workstation setup
✔ Hands-on therapy
✔ Strengthening and mobility exercises
✔ Advice on movement breaks throughout the working day
The Outcome
Over the following weeks, headaches reduced significantly and neck pain became much easier to manage.
She was able to work more comfortably and felt much less restricted by her symptoms.
The Take Home Message
If you spend long hours at a desk, neck pain and headaches don't have to become your normal.
Small changes combined with the right treatment can make a huge difference.
