Reiki Healing in Mosley Common

Gentle, Holistic Support for Mind, Body & Wellbeing

Life can be busy, overwhelming and stressful.

Whether you're juggling work, family, caring for others or navigating the challenges of perimenopause and menopause, it's easy to find yourself running on empty.

At Revive Women's Physio & Wellbeing Clinic in Mosley Common, I offer Reiki Healing as a gentle, complementary therapy to help you slow down, relax and reconnect with yourself.

Many people leave a Reiki session feeling calmer, lighter and more balanced, both physically and emotionally.

What is Reiki?

Reiki (pronounced Ray-Key) is a gentle Japanese complementary therapy that aims to support your body's natural ability to relax and restore balance.

The word Reiki translates to:

Rei = Universal

Ki = Life Energy

During a treatment, I place my hands lightly on or just above different areas of your body while you remain fully clothed, relaxing comfortably on the treatment couch.

The aim is to create a peaceful environment where your body and mind can switch out of "fight or flight" mode and into a state of deep relaxation.

Many people describe experiencing:

✨ Warmth

✨ Tingling sensations

✨ Deep relaxation

✨ Emotional release

✨ Improved sleep

✨ A feeling of calm and clarity

Everyone's experience is unique.

How Does Reiki Work?

Although researchers are still exploring exactly how Reiki works, many people find that the treatment encourages profound relaxation.

When we are constantly stressed, our nervous system can become stuck in a heightened state of alertness.

Over time this may contribute to:

  • Muscle tension

  • Poor sleep

  • Fatigue

  • Feeling overwhelmed

  • Difficulty concentrating

  • Increased sensitivity to pain

Reiki aims to encourage your nervous system to slow down, allowing your body the opportunity to rest, recover and restore balance.

For many people, simply allowing themselves an hour to completely relax can have a positive impact on both physical and emotional wellbeing.

Who Can Benefit from Reiki?

People choose Reiki for many different reasons.

It may be beneficial if you're experiencing:

💜 Stress

💜 Anxiety

💜 Feeling overwhelmed

💜 Burnout

💜 Poor sleep

💜 Fatigue

💜 Emotional exhaustion

💜 Menopause-related stress

💜 Living with persistent pain

💜 A desire to improve overall wellbeing

Many clients also choose Reiki simply because they want to make time for themselves.

My Reiki Journey

People often ask me,

"You're a Chartered Physiotherapist… how did you become a Reiki Master?"

The answer is actually very personal.

After more than 20 years as a physiotherapist, I understood the body and how to treat pain and injury.

But when I experienced anxiety and later the challenges of perimenopause myself, I realised that healing isn't always just physical.

Like many people, I tried different approaches.

Counselling.

Hypnotherapy.

Lifestyle changes.

Improving my nutrition.

Each helped in different ways, but discovering Reiki became a turning point for me.

It helped me feel calmer, quieter and more balanced during a difficult period of my life.

Initially, I trained simply so I could practise Reiki on myself whenever I needed it.

The more I learned, the more passionate I became, eventually qualifying as a Reiki Master.

Around the same time, many of my physiotherapy patients were sharing similar struggles with stress, anxiety, burnout and emotional overwhelm.

I realised I wanted to support the whole person, not just the injury.

That is why Reiki became part of Revive Women's Physio & Wellbeing Clinic.

Reiki and Physiotherapy

Reiki is not a replacement for medical care or physiotherapy.

Instead, I offer it as a complementary therapy alongside evidence-based physiotherapy and wellbeing support.

Many people find that when they feel calmer and more relaxed, they're also better able to engage with rehabilitation, movement and recovery.

What Happens During a Reiki Treatment?

Your appointment lasts approximately 45–60 minutes.

During your session:

✔ We'll discuss how you're feeling and what you'd like to get from the treatment.

✔ You'll remain fully clothed throughout.

✔ You'll lie comfortably on the treatment couch in a quiet, relaxing environment.

✔ I gently place my hands on or just above different areas of your body.

There is no manipulation, massage or discomfort.

Many people simply drift into a deeply relaxed state.

My Mission

One of my long-term goals is not simply to provide Reiki treatments.

I want to empower people with tools they can use to support their own wellbeing.

In the future, I hope to offer self-Reiki workshops, helping people learn simple techniques they can practise at home whenever life feels stressful or overwhelming.

Because sometimes the greatest gift we can give ourselves is the ability to pause, breathe and reconnect.
